JR delegation participated in the ICAPP Business Forum
A delegation of Party A JUST RUSSIA (JR) participated in the Business Forum of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) "Russia for Asia: new opportunities for business" held in Vladivostok on 22-23 May.
The delegation was composed of Oleg Finko, a State Duma deputy; Boris Guseletov, an advisor to the Party Chairman; Konstantin Mezhonov, Chairman of the Council of the JR regional division, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Krai; Alexei Kozitsky, Secretary of the Bureau of the JR RD Council; a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Krai, and the members of the Bureau of the RD Council Sergei Fedorenko, Tatyana Khruschyova, Igor Kravtsov, Vakery Mishkin, Stepan Pailevanyan and Alexander Popov.
The Forum was also participated by the delegations from fifteen countries: Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, DPRK, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand, Philippines, South Korea and Japan, and the representatives of Secretariat of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean, Secretariat of the Council of African Political Parties, the embassies of Vietnam, DPRK, Sudan and Czechia as well as representatives of a number of countries of the Asian Pacific region.
First deputy Governor of the Primorsky Krai Vasily Usoltsev; Chairman of the ICAPP Standing Committee Jose de Venecia (Philippines); deputy Chairman of the ICAPP Standing Committee, Vice-premier of Cambodia Sok An; a member of the ICAPP Standing Committee, deputy Head of the Central Committee International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chen Fengxiang, and a member of the ICAPP Standing Committee, a member of the RF Federation Council Andrey Klimov spoke at the opening ceremony of the Forum.
Around twenty speakers (including representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the Ministry of the RF Far East Development ) made reports at the Forum plenary session that followed its opening.
Two roundtables "The opportunities the Russian regions provide for development of business with partners from Asia" and "New opportunities for the Russian business in the Asian countries" with a very active participation of the representatives of Party A JUST RUSSIA took place during the second half of the day.
The ceremony of laying the foundation stone for entertainment center NAG on the territory of the "Primorye" integrated entertainment complex which also took part during the second half of the day was participated by first deputy Governor of the Primorsky Krai Vasily Usoltsev and the leadership of the ICAPP Standing Committee. Party A JUST RUSSIA was represented at the ceremony by Boris Guseletov.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the delegation of Party A JUST RUSSIA held bilateral talks with ICAPP Secretary General Chung Eui-yong (South Korea), the head of the CPC delegation Chen Fengxiang and a deputy of the Azerbaijan parliament (from party "New Azerbaijan") Aidin Mirzazade during which the prospects of further development of the bilateral relations was under discussion.
In September 2000, ICAPP was reorganized in Manila (Philippines) for "bridging in the sphere of political cooperation and creation of mutually beneficial networks between the leading (both ruling and opposition) political parties of Asia".
Throughout the first decade of its existence, ICAPP constantly demonstrated membership growth and extension of its influence. Over 340 political parties from 52 Asian states have become ICAPP members by present. Having established fraternal contacts and cooperation with Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean in 2008, ICAPP makes efforts to establish contacts with political parties on the other continents, in particular in Africa.
